Out of Hours
If you require urgent medical advice/attention that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please phone 01536 401372. You will be told the number of NHS Direct and Kettering Emergency Doctors on call service (KEYDOC) or you may call KEYDOC on 01536 522955.

Home Visits
If you feel you have an illness that necessitates a home visit, please phone the surgery and a doctor may contact you before attending. Visits are at the Doctors discretion. Please telephone before 10.30am whenever possible because this enables the doctors to plan their rounds.

Appointments
For urgent medical attention, we have appointments daily. Please telephone the surgery as soon after 8.00am as possible. We cannot guarantee you will be allocated an appointment with your own doctor. Please be aware that if you have several problems you may be asked to make a further routine appointment to deal with all problems adequately.

Specialised Services

Maternity Care  
The midwife has antenatal clinics on Thursday afternoons, please telephone reception for an appointment.

Postnatal Care  
The doctors carry out postnatal care. Please talk to reception for an appointment.  

Baby Check  
The doctors carry out baby check. You would need an appointment. Your postnatal check can be done at the same time as the baby check.   

Baby vaccines
The health visitors carry out childhood vaccines. You would need an appointment.


Cervical Smear Tests  
We advise women to have regular cervical smears. All women in the practice between 25 – 65 years of age who require a smear will receive a letter inviting them for their cervical smear. The practice nurse performs routine smears.

Mammography  
Mammography is offered to all females between the ages of 50 and 65 years by the local breast-screening unit every three years. If you wish to continue after 65 years, please ask your doctor to arrange this.

Child Health Services  
Parents whose babies are registered with the practice are notified automatically when immunisations are due. The doctors and health visitors carry out routine development assessments.

Test Results  
Normal laboratory results will be given over the telephone, we would ask you to ring after 10.30am.  Some results will need to be discussed with your doctor and you will be advised if you need to make an appointment. Please allow at least 4 working days before you ask for your results. Some results may take longer.

Immunisation Clinic
Our health visitors run this clinic and you should be notified when you will be invited to attend.

Smoking Cessation Clinic
Our health care staff can advice, arrange prescription and support you through your process of stopping smoking. Please talk to the reception to arrange an appointment.


Travel Vaccinations
Practice Nurses can give advice on vaccinations required for specific countries and the regime required in order to have them in time for travelling to provide adequate cover. If you require this service please be aware that some vaccines require at least four months to become effective.

The NHS does not cover the cost of all travel vaccinations. 


Minor Surgery

The practice has all the necessary facilities for performing minor surgical procedures.

An appointment with a doctor is required for a minor surgical procedure and this is bookable via the Reception.
